We use multiple frontier AI models trained on vast knowledge bases. Each result includes a confidence score and sources so you can verify independently. No fact-checker is perfect, but we're transparent about our reasoning — you always see why something is rated true or false.
Is my data private?
Yes, with both options. Platform mode encrypts your data and we never sell it to third parties. BYOK mode goes further — requests go directly to AI providers, so we never receive your keys or claim text. Choose Platform for simplicity, or BYOK if you want maximum privacy and key control.
What happens if I hit my monthly limit?
You'll see a notification that you've reached your limit. You can wait until next month (limits reset on the 1st), upgrade to Platform subscription for more checks, or get a BYOK license for unlimited checks forever. We'll never charge you unexpectedly.

The $29 license is one-time. After that, you pay AI providers directly for usage — typically $0.01-0.05 per fact-check. Heavy users might spend $5-15/month total. You can monitor costs in your OpenAI/Anthropic dashboard. Most people break even on the license within a few weeks.
Can I cancel or change plans?
Platform subscriptions can be cancelled anytime — no contracts, no questions asked. BYOK licenses are one-time purchases you own forever. You can switch between modes anytime in the extension settings if you own both products.
Do I need technical skills to use this?
Not for Platform mode — just install the extension and go. BYOK mode requires getting API keys from OpenAI or Anthropic, which takes about 5 minutes if you follow our setup guide. Once configured, both modes work identically.
